Introduction

Picture Postcards Online is a web development project using the Twitter Bootstrap web development framework.

The original version of Picture Postcards Online dates from 2005, when I was a part-time student at the University of Paisley (now the University of the West Of Scotland). I built it as a project for the Advanced Web Tools For Business module.

I built the original project using hand-coded XHTML, CSS, PHP Scripting, and a MySQL database. The theme of the project was a small online business selling e-postcards. It was a very useful project, as I built a guestbook and a search engine, which I would develop further in my other websites, Aviation Photo Gallery and Scottish Mountain Landscapes.

What's New

Now that web development technology has moved on, I've re-built Picture Postcards Online using HTML5, CSS3 and the Twitter Bootstrap framework.
